Alcos & Heritage on the Delaware Lackawanna

On October 19th while on our way to do some railfanning on the Reading & Northern, we rolled into Scranton just to see if anything was happening. The job that works Valley Distribution was just finishing up. Central Railroad of New Jersey RS3 was being towed from the South Scranton shops to the Von Storch locomotive shops and the running power was the pair of beautiful former Erie Lackawanna C425s, which the DL had recently given the full EL scheme with no details spared. On the last day of the trip (Oct 23rd), and after catching former Lehigh Valley SW8s working on the R&N, we made another stop at Scranton. The EL heritage units were at it again. After doing some work at Bridge 60 they departed on the Carbondale line with several cars destined for Archbald.
