Reality Doesn't Care About Your Plan

I've spent the last 3.5 years making plans. And I've spent the last 3.5 years watching reality completely ignore them. Missed buses. Wrong directions. Volunteer placements changing at the last minute. Schedules shifting without warning. At some point, I realized the goal wasn't to create the perfect plan. The goal was to build enough flexibility, margin of safety, and optionality that when the plan changed, I could change with it. In this video, I share three real-world examples from my travels and explain why adaptability may be one of the most valuable skills you can develop. Because life doesn't happen on paper. It happens in real time. And some of the best experiences I've had over the last few years started when things didn't go according to plan. Travel is the laboratory. The lessons are the product. If you enjoy practical discussions about autonomy, optionality, intentional living, and building systems that can survive uncertainty, consider subscribing and following along. Thanks for watching.
