RAF Cardington Base, Station, Camp Facilities and Activities, C1950 1950, F608
Some 16mm footage of facilities at RAF Cardington in about 1950. This shows the sleeping quarters, common rooms, and NAAFI facilities. There is also some sort of inspection or ceremony towards the second half. I am not sure what this is about. It is likely that film was taken in association with R.A. McMurtrie, DSO DFC, who was Station Commander between 1949, and 1952, because he and his wife were I believe very keen amateur film makers in this gauge.
