We Rescue A Trapped Deer - Telford Ultimate Guide Walks 26.06.22

We were meeting members of the Telford Ultimate guide walking group at Huntington near New works Luke and Craig decide to walk to the car park. On route they discover a Stricken deer trapped on the fence in the woods. Luke and Craig told the team and it was decided we would delay our walks and rescue to deer. The young deer had attempted to jump the fence and rapped it`s leg and tore the flesh from it`s bones with the struggle to break free. The deer was exhausted and it`s leg was cold and was hanging upside down. We then set about the rescue, Dan elevated the deer to a height me and manel could work on, The wire was tight and twisted and we finally prised the wires apart and freed the deer, It naturally wanted to run away, However it fell flat and we moved onto the next stage of the rescue. We called Cuan wildlife based in Much Wenlock and they arrived within 40 mins and took the deer to the Wildlife hospital. Without charities like Cuan wild animals would not have a chance.
