Something Was Watching This Backcountry Road… The Camera Caught It

I left a trail camera on a remote backcountry forest road for several months to document wildlife activity in the Rocky Mountains. At first, the area seemed quiet and peaceful. Mule deer, squirrels, rabbits, birds, grouse, and even a dog moved through this narrow corridor. But over time, a pattern began to emerge. Many of the deer repeatedly stopped to watch the hillside above the road. Some hesitated before crossing. Others stayed alert even when nothing appeared visible on camera. As predators gradually revealed themselves, it became clear this forest road was more than just a wildlife crossing point. It was part of an active hunting corridor used by mountain lions, bobcats and coyotes moving through the backcountry. This video documents natural wildlife behavior captured over months of remote trail camera monitoring in the Rockies. 0:00 - Deer Reacting to Something on a Backcountry Forest Road 0:54 - Trail Camera Location Reveal and Drone Footage 1:37 - Wildlife Using the Forest Road Corridor 2:32 - Mule Deer Watching the Hillside and Acting Alert 3:34 - Bobcats, Coyotes and Mountain Lions Revealed 5:56 - Deer React to Something Hidden in the Trees 7:00 - Mountain Lion Follows Deer Down the Forest Road If you enjoy observing natural wildlife behavior and hidden moments from the Rocky Mountains, subscribe for more trail camera discoveries:    / @eyesintherockies   All footage was captured without baiting or disturbance to document natural wildlife behavior responsibly.
