"Vin Chad" put 1 bottle of Frenchy Vin, Two oranges worth of the orange rounds (with peel if you like being bitter), Three cinnamon sticks, a splash of maple syrup or 2 Tbsp of sugar ( or both depending on how sweet), 2 tbsp honey, 8 whole cloves, two star anise into a pot. Put it on medium til it boils, then roooll it back to baaaarely simmer for at least 45 minutes, up to two hours. STRAIN, and pour! Voila! Boiling apparently gets rid of most of the alcohol, so if you wanna make it more.. uh, festive.. some people say add brandy before boiling ... but we didn't do that. ;) This also works with non alcoholic wine :) CHESTNUTS! The cheater way... Grab some chestnuts, cut through the skin to make an X on the ROUND side, place on baking sheet (with wax paper if you're ally) and stick them in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 425º (and yeah, it should be pre-heated before you stick em in there) COOKIES.... well, I've got to make sure its ok to share the secret recipe.
