CESSNA shoots a Paraglider out of the SKY! AIR Distress

On Saturday the 23th of May 2026 a midair collision ended up without fatality but showed without doubt the flaws or potential hazards when sharing congested airspaces like the one around Zell am See in Austria. The Footage shows the midair collision of a paraglider and a Cessna 182 in a shocking but without doubt clear way. The Cessna closed in from behind a paraglider that obviously rode the thermals along a ridge just north of Piesendorf. At a certain point, the paraglider pilot recognised the incoming Cessna, probably due to the engines noise, by looking backwards. The Propeller cut the paragliders lines apart, the wing has entangled with the paragliders hood and the rest of the story is just breath taking. If the Cessna would have had a flight path with a couple of meters lower, we would have had a total different outcome. The 44 years old female paraglider pilot, now literally in a freefall, was able to deploy the reserve parachute successfully and landed safely with no major injuries. A huge compliment to how she was handling the whole scenario. All the data within this video are yet based on Media Info.
