[Cabinerit] Metro Rotterdam, werkzaamheden lijn D, De Akkers - Rotterdam Centraal

Cabview on metro line D from De Akkers in Spijkenisse to Rotterdam Central Station. Due to track maintenance in the tunnel between Spijkenisse Centrum and Zalmplaat, we operate on single tracks between the points Spijkenisse Centrum and Aveling 2. In addition, metro line C with destination De Terp starts at Hoogvliet instead of De Akkers. Because these passengers are also using metro line D, we operate 4-unit trains. These have a total length of 122 meters, while the platforms are mostly 120 meters. Precise stopping at the platforms ;). The trip starts at De Akkers, track 1. After Spijkenisse Centrum the speed is reduced to transfer from track 1 to track 2. To allow for safe working conditions for the construction workers, our speed is reduced from 80km/h to 60km/h. This is done by track-side signs as well as the cab signals. Placing track-side signs would be sufficient however for added security the cab signals have been adjusted as well. When stopping at Zalmplaat, I accidentally stop with the front wheels exactly on top of the joint between two track sections. This causes the two sections to be connected with each other, resulting in faulty signals in the cabin. As a result, the signal '0 Permissief' is shown. Because at first I didn't know the cause of the faulty signal, I tried switching the train off and on because this sometimes solves the problem. As you can see however, it doesn't help, so I contact the traffic controller to check my signals. Due to company rules, these conversations are muted. After receiving confirmation that the signals are fine, I'm able to continue, after which you also see the correct cabin signal returning. At station Hoogvliet the traffic controller contacts me again. This time to inform me about a dirty car in my train. They tell me that at station Zuidplein I will be met by staff who will have a look. After this, we continue via the stations Tussenwater, Poortugaal and Rhoon towards Slinge. Between Rhoon and Slinge we pass a frequency change sign where we switch to another traffic controller. After switching I place another call myself to make sure the staff at station Zuidplein is informed about the location of the car. After Slinge we arrive at Zuidplein where it's rather crowded. Because of this I can't clearly see on the screen in the cabin if the staff has left the train yet. This is why you see me look out the window to be able to close the doors. We then set of towards Maashaven. On our metro trains we have the possibility to make announcements to the passengers on the platform using speakers on the outside of the trains. Because I noticed that a lot of passengers got on the middle cars I use these speakers to encourage passengers to walk towards the front and end of the train. After station Maashaven we continue towards Rotterdam Central station with a delay of just over 2 minutes.
