Окупація Європи СРСР/Росією: що буде, якщо Україна програє у війні | Ціна держави
As it was in history. What Ukraine is defending itself from and what it is protecting Europe from Nowadays, when the Russian army presses on Ukrainian territories with seemingly unclear, elusive goals, we want to illustrate what Russian occupation of independent countries entails. We will examine the political, economic, and humanitarian aspects of this shameful and terrifying phenomenon—Russian occupation. There is a basis for analysis. After all, Ukraine is not the first country that Russians want to occupy. There are many examples. Let us pay attention to the most illustrative examples of the occupation of European countries for the current situation. We can see what Russian occupation of a European country could be like by looking at the pro-Moscow occupation regimes in Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and East Germany. All these countries fell under the boot of the Russian soldier-occupier after World War II and remained in fact occupied until 1991, when the collapse of the USSR and internal problems of Russia led to the liberation of these countries from occupying forces. The author of the scenario of this story once served in the Soviet army in the occupied Czechoslovakia. It was two years of forced conscription. Later, he spent several years in still-socialist Czechoslovakia as a civilian. Therefore, he has his own experience and impressions regarding how the presence of an occupying army affects economic and humanitarian issues. Ukraine already knows well what occupation is. We have fresh close tragedies in Bucha, Mariupol, Izyum... But the occupation of a defeated country isn't about total executions. It's about political management of the occupied territory, as well as economic, social, and humanitarian aspects. Modern Eastern Europe does not want to recall the year 1956 in Hungary, the year 1968 in Czechoslovakia—when these countries suffered the introduction of Soviet occupying forces of the Soviet Union into their territories. Thus, we, Ukrainians, defending ourselves from Russian troops on the battlefield, must remind what awaits the countries of Eastern Europe in the event, God forbid, of Ukraine's military defeat.
