Frankie's Story: A Buff Orpington Chicken's Miraculous Recovery
We breed Buff Orpington chickens using broody hens. This is a story of one chick that had a freak accident which would have normally resulted in a fatality. Miraculously she survived and although we had concerns that she would be unable to deliver a productive role in the flock, she has surpassed all of our expectations. The moral of the story for us is that we should not rush to judgement when an injury occurs if the bird is showing no sign of distress or discomfort.
