When breeding chickens or selling fertilised eggs, its important to test both that the cockerel you are using is fertile, and that he is successfully treading the hens. In this video we examine our breeding strategy to avoid genetic mutation through inbreeding, how we test for fertility and how we select our new breeding cockerel each year.
