Kumamon Hunting in Kumamoto 🐻 Kyushu, Japan

A fun day in Kumamoto, Japan, looking for Kumamon, visiting the castle and trying sake vending machines! ✨ Get my Japan guide book: https://cakeswithfaces.co.uk/product/... It was so much fun hunting for Kumamon in Kumamoto. Kumamon's the local character mascot, and they're everywhere! The best spots are Kumamon Square, where you can see their show (for free!) and Kumamon Village, a shop in Sakura Machi shopping mall. At the start of the video, we take the shinkansen from Fukuoka to Kumamoto, which is only about 45 minutes. Then we take the tram into the city centre and check out the arcades. We found sake vending machines at Kumamoto Food Stall Village - a cheap way to try different types of sake for only 100 yen a glass. Then we looked round the outside of the castle, which is being rebuilt after the 2016 earthquake.
