2018 7A Championship: Milton vs. Colquitt County

In one of the biggest upsets in Georgia high school football history, No. 8 Milton stunned top-ranked Colquitt County 14-13 to capture the Class 7A state championship — the first football title in school history. Josh Edwards' 11-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner, and the Eagles defense held off a late Colquitt drive to seal the victory and deny the Packers a shot at a mythical national title. Georgia Tech commit Jordan Yates starred for Milton, throwing for 177 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 96 more. Jordan Cox added 96 receiving yards, and the defense, led by Charlie Keeney and Joseph Charleston with 11 tackles each, turned in a gutsy effort.
