Lango Cultural Institution Palace Project Gets New Contractor After Gov’t Recovers Funds

More than a decade after construction began, the Lango Cultural Institution palace remains incomplete, with cultural leaders raising concern over the slow progress of the project. The Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, Alex Kakooza, has reaffirmed government's commitment to completing the palace, saying more than one billion shillings paid to the contractor has been recovered and a new contractor identified to continue the works.
