Hiking in the dark, guided only by our head torches, made this one of our most memorable adventures yet. And when we finally reached the top, we were rewarded with incredible sunrise views over the Mourne Mountains and beyond. Standing at 850 metres (2,789 ft), Slieve Donard is the highest mountain in Northern Ireland and the tallest peak in the Mourne Mountains.
