Gyrn Goch Trail Run | Woodland Start to a Wild Llŷn Summit
A short but brilliant trail run up Gyrn Goch on the Llŷn Peninsula, starting with a peaceful woodland section before climbing onto the open hillside and up to the summit. This was one of those runs that had everything I needed — quiet trails, a nice woodland start, a steady climb, and a summit that felt properly wild without being too far from home. Gyrn Goch stands at around 490 m and sits above the northern Llŷn landscape, with great views towards Yr Eifl, the coast, the Nantlle Ridge and Eryri on a clear day. Another simple reminder that you don’t always need a huge mountain day to clear your head. Sometimes a quiet trail, a climb, and a summit is enough.
