EastEnders: Nick Cotton Scenes - Episode 056 (Part 2 of 2)

Some more Nick lore to unwrap. Nick is secretly putting money into his pockets. Charlie catches him and it's clear they don't get along. Nick says he wants him out and Charlie says the feeling is mutual. Charlie comes down dressed and they discuss Nick's childhood. Charlie walked out when he was very young, he says Nick's his only son but this can easily be explained by him simply lying. Nick recalls the only thing Charlie ever buying him was a train set which he broke during a drunken episode. He says he learned to fight in school because he was bullied for his father doing a runner. Also he's reading a 'Battle: Storm Actions' magazine. It's mentioned he went to school with Darren Roberts. Nick's not happy that Charlie told him where he is. Darren comes round and they play a friendly game of blackjacks with Dot. When alone, Nick asks Darren to get rid of Charlie but he laughs it off and says no. Charlie later questions why he came back after 'doing so well in the West Country'. Nick insists he was homesick but Charlie knows better as it takes one to know one so to speak. Nick loses it and they almost scuffle but Dot disturbs them. Still as happy as ever. 3rd November 1987.
