Review: Muti's Exciting Verdi Opera Collection
Riccardo Muti has always been a devoted (if dictatorial) Verdi conductor, and this Warner box contains eleven excitingly conducted and generally very well-sung operas, including: Nabucco, Ernani, Attila, Macbeth, Rigoletto, La Traviata, I Vespri Siciliani, Un Ballo in Maschera, La Forza del Destino, Don Carlo, and Aida. You also get the Requiem and the Four Sacred Pieces--quite a collection at a very inexpensive price.
