Tony Reyes Fishing and Freediving San Felipe 2013 Mothership

The Tony Reyes fishing and spearfishing trip was awesome. Our group fish count total was... 75 Yellow tail 95 Pinto Bass 40 Cabria 4 Grouper 4 AmberJack 4 Pargo 8 Sheephead 5 Cabizon Tony Reyes 24 anglers Fish Count August 4th, 2013 August 13, 2013 -- 5:17 pm Tony Reyes just returned from a 6 day trip having another great adventure with nice weather. Water temperatures were from 75 to 85 degrees. Bait was tough again but jigs were working very well as the fish are very aggressive and hungry. Anglers need to bring more medium size jigs like the Tady and Salas 6X Jr. size in various colors with blue and white being # 1 followed by green and yellow and scrambled egg. The group had good action at San Esteban island and San Lorenzo reef with the yellowtails up to 30 pounds. Broken lines were the calling at Snake island where the grouper fishing was excellent but anything under 100 pound test was won by the fish and the rocks. Dorados were biting trolled feathers on El Diablo point with red and white being the most productive color. The last day they fished Enchanted Islands with moderate success and many more broken lines. Anglers should be sure to bring fresh line of the correct size to do battle with these very strong fish. 215 yellowtails to 31 lbs. 120 cabrillas to 12 lbs. 5 broomtail groupers to 27 lbs. 12 sheepshead 276 bass 10 red snappers to 15 lbs. 20 amberjacks to 20 lbs. 5 gulf groupers to 130 lbs 25 dorados to 15 lbs. 318 released and miscellaneous species
