THE PLANNED FOOTBALL MURDER | A Day as a Fan of: AUSTRIA vs. RED BULL Salzburg | Football Stadium Vlog 🏟️ One city, but two worlds. That's Salzburg! Football in the city of Mozart is divided – on one side, SV Austria Salzburg, on the other, Red Bull Salzburg. To speak of them as simply two clubs is inaccurate. History shows that the two clubs were closely intertwined. Austria was founded back in 1933 and was always the city's flagship club – until Red Bull came along and invested in the club in 2005. For Austria's fans, it initially seemed like a logical and positive step, as the sponsorship could potentially lead to a return to past footballing glory. But the rude awakening was to come, because Red Bull showed no interest in allowing Austria to continue in any form. Colors, club logo, identity – everything was changed! What followed were protests, culminating in the re-establishment of Austria. And that's why the city has been divided into two camps since 2005. On one side, the traditional club; on the other, the modern, commercial one. To this day, the issue causes tension, and slowly but surely, Austria Salzburg has caught up with RB Salzburg again. From the lowest league, the club has fought its way up to the second division, while its big neighbor has long been a regular fixture in international football. I wanted to see what was going on in Salzburg and spent a weekend in Austria. An Austria Salzburg match in the second division, an RB Salzburg match in the Bundesliga. At Austria Salzburg, I had an incredible fan experience. I was allowed to be in the locker room with the team before the game, got a behind-the-scenes look, and heard from the people what makes Austria Salzburg so special. The club is 100 percent the focus, and every fan knows that currently, the second division is the limit. Why? I explain that in the video. In contrast, the world is open to RB Salzburg – with a European Championship stadium and professional infrastructure. Of course, my trip to Salzburg wasn't all about football.
