I recently stayed at Sekizenkan, a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) in Shima Onsen, Gunma Prefecture. It's said to be the model for the bathhouse in the movie *Spirited Away*. I enjoyed a peaceful hot spring trip in what is considered one of Japan's oldest hot spring inn buildings. Sekizenkan is a historic inn founded in 1694, but the main building also offers reasonably priced accommodation plans in the style of a therapeutic hot spring inn, and I was able to stay for around 10,000 yen this time. It was a trip where I could relax and soak in the hot springs, rejuvenating both my mind and body.
