We took a drive along a smooth mountain route connecting Roadside Station Ippukudokoro Yokokawa, Tenryu Aizu Hanamomo no Sato, and Kunma Suisha no Sato in Hamamatsu City's Tenryu Ward. Along this route, you'll find sights that are hard to find with just a navigation system, such as the Bridge of Dreams, a scenic bridge crossing the Tenryu River, and the secluded mountain village of Tsuki District. Tsuki District is a quiet village surrounded by mountains, where you'll find peach and cherry blossoms in spring and early-blooming cherry blossoms even in winter, making it a place you'll want to stop along the way. Additionally, Shibukawa is home to the Triumphal Arch (a Nationally Registered Tangible Cultural Property), built during the Meiji period. This stone arch, which appears unexpectedly along the mountain road, makes a great stop to get a feel for the region's history. At Kunma Waterwheel Village, you can enjoy rustic mountain scenery, gourmet food made with local ingredients, and views of the watermill. Along with Yokokawa and Hanamomo Village, this is the perfect route for a "Tenryu Roadside Station Hopping Drive."
