Peavey Deuce 240T - Skynyrd Tones
An oldie but goodie, I’m sure some tone snobs will disagree, but I don’t mind. This journey started a year and a half ago when I bought this 1975 Deuce, little brother to the famous Mace that Lynyrd Skynyrd famously used. The amp would power on, but had a terrible hum, and 1 speaker didn’t work. It had 2 mismatched fender speakers, and a microphonic power tube. I had a tech source some speakers and new tubes, also the electrolytic caps were changed. It’s now quiet with just a little hiss and I can get some pretty convincing Skynyrd tones with it. It’s hard to put into words what this means to me, Skynyrd was my go to as a teenage guitar player. And still to this day, it resonates deeply with me. This amp makes me wanna play all that classic music. #lynyrdskynyrd #peavey
