Eine der längsten Modellbahnanlagen der Schweiz Eine erhöhte Passerelle ermöglicht nun einzigartige Ausblicke auf die detailreiche Landschaft. Das ursprünglich 6 x 14 Meter grosse Gotthardbahnmodell misst jetzt 31,5 Meter in der Länge und 3,5 Meter in der Breite und gehört zu den längsten Modellbahnanlagen der Schweiz. Besucherinnen und Besucher erhalten auch spannende Einblicke hinter die Kulissen: Eine digitale Steuerung und Schattenbahnhöfe auf der Rückseite veranschaulichen die technische Raffinesse. Der Schattenbahnhof dient als unsichtbare Abstellanlage unter der Landschaftsebene. Unter dem Motto «Altes mit Neuem verbinden» hat die Modellbaugruppe Gotthard unter der Leitung von Emil Galliker das Gotthardbahnmodell mit viel Liebe zum Detail weiterentwickelt.
