Erstkontakt: Volkswagen Golf 7 R 3.6 L Bi-Turbo (740 PS) by HGP-Turbo/ Martin Gräf klärt auf!

#MotorOli and #FotoRalph are out on assignment this time for the spectators and have checked out the performance workshop HGP-Turbo. After much speculation due to an ominous internet video, we're finally getting some clarity and will be personally informed by motor legend Martin Gräf. Join us for the world's first short official drive in the brand-new HGP Golf 7 R 3.6 L Bi-Turbo and listen to the sonorous sound of what is arguably the most brutal, TÜV-certified six-cylinder engine in a Golf 7. The performance is breathtaking, and the soundscape finally delivers what fans of the legendary V(R)6 models have (unfortunately) been sorely missing in production for some time. Power is 740 hp (+), maximum torque is 925 Nm. Acceleration is expected to be under 3 seconds from 0-100 km/h and under 8.9 seconds from 0-200 km/h. Top speed over 330 km/h (all estimates!!!). The engine, as is well known, comes from the old Passat R36. According to Volkswagen, it consumed 10.5 l/100km (super) at stock power. However, with 740 hp, you can expect significantly more if you actually use that power. Nevertheless, the Golf can also cruise: During normal driving, it will only consume significantly more than the stated stock figures, as it mobilizes significantly more torque and has a relatively easy time with the Golf. The car shown in the video is a finalized development vehicle, commissioned by a customer and already handed over to them. HGP is currently working hard on its own vehicle, which will also be used to test real-world performance in the near future. A really cool driving video will follow.
