Beginner Contact Staff Tutorial : Fishtails | How to flow with the contact staff
In the forth episode of the beginner series basic flow with the contact staff, we are going to learn one of my favorite tricks: the fishtail. The fishtail is a great trick in itself, but it is also a fundamental trick in order to start learning transition between tricks and planes without grabbing the staff. The ability to control the staff without holding it is going to expand your possiblities with the staff and allow you to flow and dance with greater fluidity. 0:00 Introduction 0:42 Warm Up exercise 1:28 Understanding the movement 5:24 Assisted Fishtail 6:55 Troubleshooting 9:07 Transitions & Conclusion Hi, my name is Philippe, my friends call me Philo, I am a circus artist based in Berlin.
