Much has been said about gender differences in countless aspects of personal, professional, and work life. But do these differences truly exist? How do they apply in a field as traditionally considered masculine as negotiation? Ricardo Altimira offers his conclusions after more than two decades working in this field. Ricardo Altimira grew up and was educated as an engineer in Argentina, where he joined IBM. His career took him to the USA, Japan, Brazil, and finally Spain. During his 25 years as an executive at IBM, Telefónica, IE Business School, and HI-Consult, he also spent another 25 years as an associate and visiting professor at Business Schools in 12 countries, leading workshops on negotiation, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Ricardo holds a PhD from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, an Executive MBA from IE Business School, and postgraduate degrees from New York University and Harvard University. His passions are the mountains and biodynamic agriculture. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
