#onam #cookingwithsumateacher KAALAN Ingredients 1. Ripe banana (nenthran) 3 nos 2. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp 3. Sour curd (beaten) 2 litres 4. Salt to taste To grind 1. Grated Coconut 1 ½ -2 cups 2. Green chilli 5-8 3. Cumin seeds ½ tsp 4. Turmeric powder for colour a big pinch SEASONING 1. Ghee / oil 2 tbsp 2. Red chilli 5-6 3. Fenugreek seeds ¼ tsp 4. Mustard seeds ½ tsp 5. Curry leaves plenty PREPARATION 1. Peel cube and boil half the banana pieces with turmeric powder and some curry leaves adding a little water till just done. 2. Grind the remaining banana cubes well adding a little curd.set aside. 3. Grind the items 4-7 nicely adding a little curd . set aside. 4. Add the ground items together to the cooked banana , let simmer , add the beaten curd and let froath. Remove. 5. Season with the ingredients pour above, add salt after some time.
