Delincuente abatido tras intentar robar en local de electrodomésticos en Quito

Four criminals in a black SUV attempted to rob an appliance store in the La Michelena neighborhood, south of Quito, around 3:00 a.m., according to the Eloy Alfaro district commander. The store's alarms and a timely call from the community allowed police to respond, resulting in a shootout in which the criminals used firearms against the officers. Police officers killed one of the criminals, who has been identified and has at least eight prior criminal convictions. The other three men fled and are being sought by authorities.
