¡CAYÓ "LOS SAGASTUME"! Desmantelan peligrosa banda de secuestradores tras operativo simultáneo

In a decisive blow against crime, the Honduran National Police, through the Directorate of Police Investigations (DPI) and the anti-kidnapping unit, captured four members of the "Los Sagastume" gang. The detainees are linked to the kidnapping of a businessman and cattle rancher on April 25, 2025, in Tocoa, Colón, for whom they demanded a ransom of 3 million lempiras. The captured individuals have been identified as: Carlos Antonio Sagastume (32 years old) Gerson Zambrano Sánchez, alias "El Negro" (25 years old) Jairo José Erazo Vázquez, alias "Peludo" (37 years old) Tony José Benjara Aguilar, alias "El Indio" (28 years old) The arrests were carried out simultaneously in Tocoa, Sabá, Santa Rita, and Puerto Cortés.
