Kembali Beraksi, Residivis Begal 17 Tahun di Medan Ditangkap Polisi

Medan, MISTAR.ID A 17-year-old teenager, a repeat offender in a robbery case, was arrested again by police after being involved in a similar group activity. The teenager, identified as SR, was arrested by the Medan City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, after previously acting with two accomplices who are still at large. Their actions were captured on CCTV. The footage shows a resident who had just purchased an internet package at a cellphone shop on Jalan Sisingamangaraja and was about to leave the location. However, not far from the location, the resident was suddenly confronted by a group of youths suspected of being part of a motorcycle gang. They were carrying sharp weapons and immediately made threats. The panicked resident abandoned his motorcycle on the side of the road. The vehicle was then taken by the group of youths. Police, having received a report, quickly moved to investigate. Within a short time, one individual was identified and arrested. SR was arrested on Jalan Karya Kasih, Medan Johor District, without resistance. During questioning, the teenager confessed to the crime. Medan City Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief, First Inspector Poltak M Tambunan, stated that SR is a repeat offender in robbery cases and has committed similar acts repeatedly. The teenager is currently in custody and charged with aggravated theft, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
