Autobus, la svolta è “green”

Numerous new, zero-impact electric buses and the renovation of the bus depot with the installation of 30 charging stations. Yesterday, the capital's increasingly green and sustainable local public transport system was the focus of a two-part inauguration: first, in the Hall of Honor of Palazzo Nodari, Busitalia executives presented the latest additions to the city's fleet. Then, on Via Petrarca, a stone's throw from the train station, a tour of the depot provided a close-up look at the infrastructure project that made room for the new charging stations. This dual presentation was described by Mayor Valeria Cittadin, accompanied by Mobility Councilor Michele Aretusini, as "a true celebration, because when such significant results are achieved, it's important to communicate appropriately." The focal point of the morning, however, were the numbers presented by Busitalia President Flavio Nogara and Gino Colella, CEO and General Manager of the Trenitalia subsidiary (FS Group). The company responsible for urban public transport recently put 19 new fully electric buses into service. The total investment, amounting to €9.88 million, was financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) and the National Strategic Plan for Sustainable Mobility, with a corporate co-financing share of approximately €500,000.
