Home Office leaders have faced calls to end “secrecy and confusion” around their plan to house more asylum seekers in former military barracks. In the Commons, minister Alex Norris was asked to say how the Government would allay community concerns if it presses ahead with plans to house asylum seekers on Ministry of Defence sites – at Barnham in Suffolk, Bicester in Oxfordshire, and Linton-on-Ouse in North Yorkshire.
