I Took My Wife on Holiday to PATTAYA, Thailand... 🇹🇭

📍Pattaya, Thailand 🇹🇭 Pattaya - the name alone stirs something in people. Usually suspicion, maybe even disgust. But is it really that bad? I brought my wife. A test, maybe. Or just curiosity. We checked into a £20-a-night apartment with a view most places would charge triple for. I got a haircut from a kind Thai woman who worked with precision and pride. I tipped her well. She smiled and gave us a big hug. The beach surprised us. Clean, well-kept, no signs of the chaos you’d expect. No stumbling Brits in football shirts. No echo of Benidorm’s worst instincts. Just sea, sand, and people getting on with their lives. Then cocktails. A Caipiroska and a Margarita. Mixed in the back of a converted VW campervan. The kind of odd little gem you don’t find unless you’re really looking. A buzz set in. We wandered to a Tuscan restaurant perched on the edge of the sea. Oysters, wild boar ragù, four cheese gnocchi. A litre of red. Italian Merlot, deep and smoky. It felt like we were cheating the system. Living well for less. And then… Soi 6. A street soaked in neon and stories. Every bar has a thousand secrets, and most of them are for sale. The mood shifted. Something happened. Not dramatic, but enough. Time to go. So, is Pattaya as bad as they say? You tell me. 👨🏻‍💻 Give us a follow on your favorite social media:   / jackaynsleytravel     / jackaynsleytravel   &   / paigeaynsleytravel     / jackaynsleytravel   &   / paigeaynsleytravel   👋🏼 Support us!
