SECURITY HAS BEEN BEEFED UP AT STATEHOUSE AFTER IT EMERGED THAT A SECURITY GUARD MANNING GATE D AT STATEHOUSE WAS KILLED. ACCORDING TO SOURCES, THE GATE D WHICH IS COMMONLY USED BY THE PUBLIC TO ACCESS STATEHOUSE IS CURRENTLY UNDER TIGHT SECURITY FROM THE KDF AND SPECIAL UNITS FROM THE GSU. IT IS ALLEGED THAT THE SECURITY OFFICER WAS STABBED USING A SPEAR BEFORE HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD. ALREADY A SUSPECT HAS BEEN ARREST AND IS CURRENTLY BEING QUESTIONED BY DETECTIVES FROM DCI. Police have revealed that the man who speared a GSU officer to death outside State House Monday claims to have been sent by Satan to attack the officer. “This man claims he was sent by Satan to attack the police officer. He killed him, and he is lucky to be alive himself,” said an officer aware of the developments. The suspect told police he walked to the area as directed by Satan. The suspect, identified as Kinyuka Kinyumi, 56, was arrested at the scene. In the shocking incident, the man attacked and killed the armed officer manning State House, Nairobi. The assailant used a spear to commit the act outside Gate D, which is usually used by the public to access the State House. The spear landed on the left side of the chest, killing him. The motive of the about 11 am incident was not immediately established. The officer attached to the General Service Unit’s G Company was pronounced dead on arrival at the Kenyatta National Hospital. He had bled profusely by the time he arrived at the hospital, officials said.
