Esp05 - After a stunning drive we found ourselves cordoned off by police in Lüderitz

After a stunning drive through southern Namibia, we found ourselves unexpectedly cordoned off by police in the tiny German coastal town of Lüderitz. 🚓🇳🇦 The recent rains had already made the journey an adventure and at one point, flooded roads forced us to cross over a dam wall as water was being released through the floodgates — all this rain is not something you usually get to experience in Namibia! But the surprises didn’t stop there… As we rolled into Lüderitz, police suddenly surrounded the area and security was everywhere. It turns out the President was in town for the famous Crayfish Festival! 🦞 From overflowing dams to unexpected presidential security, this part of the journey certainly kept things interesting.
