EPS18 - Lost in Kaokoland! A Hidden Route to Opuwo

Leaving the breathtaking Marienfluss Valley behind, we set off towards Opuwo expecting an adventure—but not quite the one we got! We became hopelessly lost multiple times as tracks seemed to disappear into the vast landscape. One stop to ask a Himba family for directions turned into one of the highlights of our journey. Although we couldn't easily communicate, we spent time blowing up balloons for the children and their smiles made it a truly special encounter that we'll never forget. Eventually, some locals pointed us towards a route that doesn't appear on any map and isn't listed on iOverlander. It was rough, remote, and challenging, but that's exactly what makes overlanding so rewarding. The Super Trooper tackled every obstacle without missing a beat, carrying us through some incredible country and proving once again why it's such a capable adventure vehicle.
