The next OpenAIRE strategy: our mission and action lines for an Open Scholarly Communication system
OpenAIRE has been rapidly expanding and growing over the last few years, since it is a legal entity, with a clear mission and vision to operationalise the shift of scholarly communication towards openness and transparency and facilitate innovative ways to communicate and monitor research. Driven by Open Science and consolidating the collective knowledge and commitments from OpenAIRE members we’ve recently launched the first OpenAIRE strategy (2023-2025) (https://www.openaire.eu/strategy-2023-25) that will outline and guide our work and ambition for the next three years. Our strategy presents the five priorities the OpenAIRE community wants to tackle, and describes how OpenAIRE infrastructure, both its human network and ICT services, can support or evolve to serve these priorities. The priorities outlined in this document connect to the global effort to drive forward open scholarly communication and serve as a motivational tool for all the involved stakeholders to work towards a common goal: pushing the agenda forward, taking it to the next level and shaping the Open Scholarly Communication ecosystem in Europe and beyond. This presentation took place on the 29th November 2022, during the launch event of the strategy.
