Hiking the Pen Y Fan Horseshoe | Brecon Beacons
I Hiked the Pen Y Fan Horseshoe in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales. Walking in the Brecon Beacons, I decided to do a 9 mile circular hike, the Pen Y Fan Horseshoe. Pen Y Fan can get quite busy at times, as it was today, so I didn't spend much time at any of the peaks. I found the best parts of the walk weren't at the peaks but on the journey between them when it was quieter. The walk starts at Neuadd car park and you walk until you reach the lower Neuadd Reservoir from there the path to the ridge begins and the Horseshoe takes you over Corn Du, Pen Y Fan, Cribyn and Fan Y Big.
