USA: Obesity has become a TV spectacle
In Phoenix, Arizona, a restaurant is attracting curious onlookers with a concept that's as funny as it is chilling: an "eating" challenge centered around an XXL burger/sandwich nicknamed "the quadruple bypass." Nurses' uniforms, an owner dressed as a doctor, customers treated like "patients"... everything is designed as a parody of a hospital to sell an extreme experience: 1 kg of meat, bacon galore, and thousands of calories. But behind the show, the report sheds light on a darker reality: obesity as a business. Between "XXL" products, dedicated services, private schools for overweight teens, medical reality TV, and the lobbying of the food industry, America seems caught between entertainment, consumption, and public health. #Phoenix #Arizona #FastFood #BurgerChallenge #FoodChallenge #ExtremeEating
