ZX-9R Lora 💞 A Ride To The Forest With A Big Mountain Hike | Stubby Edit™

Can I still climb a proper Scottish mountain after everything that's happened over the last few years? In this Stubby Edit™, I ride Lora into Galloway Forest Park before attempting Corserine, the second highest mountain in Southern Scotland. This condensed version keeps the story, the scenery and the important moments without every mile in between, making it perfect if you've only got half an hour to spare. Much of the climb follows faint deer and sheep tracks, with steep, rough and often pathless terrain where navigation becomes part of the challenge. Scottish mountains can also be deceptive. At only 814 metres, Corserine doesn't sound particularly high, but almost the entire ascent starts close to sea level through boggy, uneven ground where the weather can change remarkably quickly. In terms of vertical ascent, this walk involves well over twice the climbing required to reach the summit of Breithorn from the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car in Switzerland. This journey was also a personal milestone. It was inspired by an earlier ride where I hoped to visit the same area but simply wasn't fit, healthy or strong enough to continue.
