Gifted: The Person of the Holy Spirit in the Trinity

Pastor Trent starts our GIFTED series on the Holy Spirit by slowing everything down and asking the basic questions most people skip: Who is the Holy Spirit, and what does it mean that the Spirit of the living God dwells in believers (Romans 8)? We work through the Bible’s own language and refuse shortcuts. In John 14–16, Jesus speaks of the Spirit with personal pronouns and personal actions: He teaches, guides, speaks, convicts, and glorifies Christ. Paul adds that the Spirit helps us in weakness and can be grieved, which only makes sense if He is a Person and not an impersonal power. That changes how we pray, how we pursue holiness, and how we think about being sealed and kept by God.
