A covered glass walkway leads directly there from the lobby of our 5-star hotel, Matsushima Ichinobo. In this video, we will explore the masterpieces of a legendary Japanese artisan who was the first glass artist in history to receive the highest state award for culture. He beautifully blended the Murano glassblowing techniques from Italy with traditional Japanese philosophy. Did you know that the owner of this luxury hotel fell so deeply in love with Fujita's art that he sacrificed a huge part of the hotel's territory to build this personal museum? But the biggest surprise awaited us in the museum shop! Instead of ordinary souvenirs, it features a stunning exhibition-sale of modern independent masters from all over Japan.
