With simple bodyweight exercises, you can improve shoulder mobility and awareness of these joints in relation to the position of the chest and pelvis, and, in general, the rest of the body. By gently strengthening the deep shoulder muscles and functionally organizing the position of the trunk, you can improve your posture and feel your chest more open and free, and your breathing more deeply. Better posture and more functional shoulder mobility will also help you reduce pain and tension in the neck area, preventing annoying ailments such as muscle contractures, contrast syndrome, rotator cuff problems, and pain in the arms and between the shoulder blades.
