Creating Atmosphere & Mood - Part One
Today, popular artist Paul Talbot-Greaves demonstrates the techniques he uses to add mood and atmosphere to his work. Starting with some simple techniques, he then takes one image and creates three studies, using different colours and altering the tonal values to completely change the atmosphere and mood from sunlit to sunset and even a night-time scene. Paul then goes on to paint a lovely atmospheric landscape with mountains and water at sunset. Popular watercolourist Paul Talbot-Greaves shows his techniques for adding atmosphere to paintings – taking one image and creating three completely different moods and then creating a final sunset.
