Radreise von den Alpen bis Venedig: Auf dem EuroVelo durch Italien an die Adria
During our bikepacking tour through the north of Italy we have cycled from the Alps down to Lake Garda. Following the EuroVelo 7 and 8 we have been exploring the River Po, visited the secret bicycle capital of Ferrara in Emilia-Romagna and finally reached our destination: Venice. Travelling by bike in the beginning of March has its difficulties: the tent nights can be cold, there's a good chance of snow and most camp sites have not opened yet. Come with us on our journey through the stunning nature of the alps, the incredible Lace Garda and the beautiful delta of the river Po. Cycling in the Alps is a big dream for many cycling enthusiasts. Alpine crossings seem to be more in vogue than ever, cycle paths with illustrious names such as Via Claudia Augusta and Alpe Adria are on everyone's lips. We have also been planning a cycling trip together between the gigantic peaks of the Alps for a long time, but on an individually designed route through South Tyrol and Northern Italy. In March 2024 the time had finally come, equipped with a new tent and freshly tuned bicycles we could get started! But a cycling trip in March brings with it some challenges: most campsites are closed and there may still be snow on the cycle paths at higher altitudes. The biggest problem with our chosen travel time, however, only became noticeable on the way… Join us on a two-week circuit that leads from the Brenner Pass to Lake Garda, along the Po Valley to Venice and through the Dolomites back to South Tyrol. In the first part of the trip we cycle on the picturesque Eisack valley cycle path and on the cycle route along the River Etsch, pay a visit to the secret cycling capital of Italy and explore the fantastic Po Delta before we reach the Venice Lagoon. You can find out all the adventures we experienced on our bike trip, what circumstances got us into difficulties and what regional specialties we can recommend in our video. As always, we hope you have fun! 00:00 intro 02:34 The first problem 04:36 Day 1: Over snow to Brixen 3:25 p.m. Day 2: Horror diversion to Trento 32:31 Day 3: Cycling fun to Lazise 44:32 A rainy rest day on Lake Garda 49:26 Day 4: An (almost) perfect day to Bagnolo San Vito 1:01:39 Day 5: Dike children on the move 1:06:44 A strange encounter in Ostiglia 1:19:08 A day in the cycling capital of Italy 1:23:03 Day 6: Keep driving, there's nothing to see here 1:36:22 The fantastic Po Delta 1:41:31 Another change of plans 1:48:45 Day 7: Island hopping to Venice 1:55:23 Conclusion on the tour and preview #cyclingtrip #alps #bikepacking #italy #lakegarda #venice #southtirol #eurovelo #etsch #ferrara _____________________________________ Subscribe to our channel: / zeltenbummler Instagram: / zelten_bummler Komoot: https://www.komoot.de/user/799094329633
