Seven Cities of Love: A lecture by Davod Azad at University of Manchester

The lectures were the first event of the cultural festival "Seven Cities of Love" which is organised by Unique Circle Manchester. Davod Azad, internationally renowned vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist specialising in Persian Traditional Music, Persian Sufi Music and Azeri Folk Music. He has delivered talks about his music at various universities around the world including Coloumbia University and the University of Oxford. In this lecture at the University of Manchester, Davod Azad speaks about Seven Modes of Persian Music. Renowned tabla player Sirishkumar Manji joins Davod Azad at the end of the lecture and talks about the rhythms of tabla.
