048 Archicad GDL Custom Doors Part 10: BM Fill & Cut Plane

We're partway through the series on creating your own custom door using GDL. Thus far we've been focusing on the 3D component of that door which is exciting and fun but it's only half the story. We now need to get into the 2D to make sure that your door represents as you need it to on all your different documentation packages. It’s not sexy, but it is critical to the proper production of tight drawings. If your door doesn’t display correctly in plan views then it’s not really that useful. In this episode we're going to get started on that 2D and I'm going to cover specifically how to query your fill attributes from the building material used, and also how to find out your floor plan cut plane height so your part can respond to the view cut plane. It’s often the simple stuff that can cause you the most grief – so let me clarify. Completed in Archicad 27.
