وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَ "And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - they will be with those whom Allah has blessed: the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. And what excellent companions are they." (An-Nisa 69) Indeed, the Most Merciful “This grace is from Allah; and Allah is sufficient as the Knower.” (An-Nisa 70) The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had a slave named Thawban. One day, he came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). His face had turned pale. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, “What is the matter with you, Thawban?” In response, Thawban said, "I have neither illness nor pain. I have nothing. O Messenger of Allah, when I cannot see you, my love for you increases. I feel intense loneliness. Then I remember the Hereafter and fear that I will not see you there. For you will be in high ranks with the other Prophets in Paradise. Even if I enter Paradise, I will be in a lower rank than you, so I will not be able to see you there or listen to your conversation. This has weakened me." Thereupon, this verse was revealed: "Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will be with the Prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous, to whom Allah has bestowed His favors. What excellent companions they are." The Companionship of Those with Different Ranks in Paradise The purpose of those who obey Allah and His Messenger being with the Prophets and the truthful is not that they will all be in the same rank. For this requires equality in degree between the virtuous (superior) and the lesser (lesser) ones, which is impossible. Rather, what is meant is that they will be in Paradise, even if their places are far apart, so that they can see each other. For when the veil is lifted, they will see each other and will be able to visit or meet each other whenever they wish. This is what is meant by this unity. Siddiqs: First Attribute: Siddiq is the name of someone who has adopted sidq (truthfulness) as a habit. If an action becomes a person's habit and that person is described with the word expressing it, that attribute is expressed in the verbal meter. For example, sikkîr (one who drinks heavily, drunk); şırrîb (one who drinks heavily); himmîr (one who drinks much wine). Sidq is one of the honorable and superior attributes of a believer. Sidq (truthfulness) is sufficient as a virtue. For faith consists of confirmation. Lying is sufficient grounds for censure. For disbelief is nothing but denial. When you understand this, we say that the commentators have various definitions of "Siddiq": 1) Whoever confirms (corrects) any religion without doubt is a siddiq. The proof of this is the verse, "Those who believe in Allah and His messengers, they are the siddiqs" (Hadid, 19). 2) A group of people said: "The siddiqs are the best of the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." 3) Siddiq is the name of the person who was the first to affirm the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and thus pioneered others in this regard. In this case, Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) is the most deserving of this attribute among all people. He was the pioneer in affirming the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet famously said, "Whoever I presented Islam to, he hesitated, except Abu Bakr, for he never hesitated." Salihs: Third Attribute: A righteous person is one who is good and honest in their faith and deeds. Because ignorance is a defect in faith, and sin is a defect in deeds. When you thoroughly understand the interpretation of the words "siddiq," "martyr," and "salih," the difference between these attributes becomes clear. This is because everyone whose faith is correct and whose deeds are obedience, not disobedience, is a righteous person. Know that God Almighty has explained that one who obeys God and His Messenger is with the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. He then stated that it is sufficient to simply be a companion with them, without attaching much importance to which of these two individuals he is. We previously mentioned that the word "rafiq" means someone who is benefited from during danger and travel. Thus, God Almighty has explained that these obedient servants will benefit. A person may sometimes be with another person but not be their companion. However, if someone shows great compassion and interest to the person next to them, then they become their companion. According to this explanation, God Almighty declared that the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous are like his companions and friends because of their intense compassion towards that obedient person and the joy they will feel at seeing him.” Razi, Tafsir
