(July 17, 2026) Strong winds continue across much of the Caribbean and Central America due to a strong easterly jet stream in the lower levels of the troposphere. Meanwhile, in the Northeast Pacific, we have Tropical Cyclone Elida and Tropical Wave No. 26, which has a high probability (90%) of developing into a tropical cyclone in the coming days. Additionally, in the Tropical Atlantic, we have Tropical Waves No. 28 and 29.
